Yeah, I know, we are a beer site, but when a South Jersey brewery travels across the country and brings home a Silver from the first ever Hard Seltzer Festival you gotta shout it from the bridges to the beach. Forgotten Boardwalk has become a leader in this category and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone there for bringing back the hardware. Congrats to Jamie and her team on this accomplishment!
WHITE CLAW WHO? AWARD WINNING SELTZER MADE RIGHT HERE IN NJ
Jersey-made seltzer places second in America’s First Hard Seltzer Festival and Competition
(CHERRY HILL) – Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing Company has taken home top honors at Fizz Fight: America’s First Hard Seltzer Festival and Competition hosted in Denver, Colorado on September 14, 2019. The New Jersey brewery has been producing seltzer since June, opening their line of J’aime Sparked Seltzer with their Tangerine Rosé with Hibiscus and White Tea, which earned a silver medal in the judges competition at the inaugural event.
The competition showcased 38 different seltzer producers and a team of judges evaluated over 130 different varieties of flavors of seltzer during the event. J’aime Sparked Seltzer rose to the top and outscored national brands such as White Claw, Truly and Bon & Viv.
“The J’aime line has been an opportunity to put our mark on the hard seltzer trend that is sweeping the industry, while keeping our mission of delivering distinct and unique flavors to our customers,” said Forgotten Boardwalk owner Jamie Queli. “Our team worked for over a year to perfect the recipe and process that brought this line to life. From our head brewer Evan Wasylyk to our entire production and tasting room staff, to our partners at Tavalon Tea, this has truly been a group effort. Seeing that hard work paying off is gratifying beyond belief.”
Forgotten Boardwalk teamed up with Tavalon Tea and their tea sommelier, Chris Cason, to develop the unique flavor profile found in the award-winning seltzer. They continue their collaboration, bringing more flavors, with Tangerine Rosé being joined by Peach Lemonade with Black Tea in the month of October. J’aime Sparked Seltzers are distributed in 16-ounce cans, larger than the traditional 12 ounce or slim pack cans seltzer is generally found in, and is available in liquor stores, bars, and restaurants throughout the state.
Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing Co. is a woman owned brewery established by Jamie Queli in 2012 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and has been producing curious ales for the discerning consumer ever since. Their portfolio includes a mix of flagship beers, seasonal releases, barrel-aged attractions, and now, award winning seltzer.
